I might not be posting for a while, but I’ll leave this with you:
God loves you UNCONDITIONALLY.
That means that He loves you, despite of the kind of words that come out of your mouth, the lust or the addictions that you are experiencing right now, the judgments and labels people throw at you. You can fall a thousand times, do a mistake over and over again, and fail at your academics many times, but God’s love and favor is still upon you. People will call you depressed, fat, ugly, pimply, stupid, gay, plastic, horrible, good for nothing, or dirty, but God will still put His arms around you. Your parents can wish that they never let you live, but God is still proud of you. You may have worked in a nightclub, or had sex secretly at a young age, or drunk beer, or taken drugs, but you’ll find yourself welcome in God’s throne. He’ll still hear your prayers.
You may have messed-up your life big time, but God loves you right this very moment, and He is passionately eager in blessing you.
You know why He has the guts do that? It’s because all the anger, all the condemnation, and all the punishment has been put on Christ. Beloved, God CRUSHED Him in your behalf. God pounded His beloved and only Son’s body just for your sake. Jesus took all that just for your sake. Just to save you.
Two thousand years ago, God saw Jesus as the prostitute, the thief, the murderer, the drug addict, the failure in school, the bully, the depressed, the disobedient, the lustful, the addict, the gay, the lesbian, and all the things you think you are today. That’s why there’s no more hate left for you. Jesus drank it all, so all that’s left for you is love.
So what do you do now? Start seeing yourself as God looks at you: innocent. You were JUSTIFIED in His sight. Come boldly in His presence, and receive and acknowledge that love. You’re still doing those things? Fine. Still go to Him. In reality, you can’t change yourself for God. Only God can do that for you and in you.
THIS Finished Work— this JESUS— is what will never leave you the same again. Don’t deprive yourself of all the goodness that He has purchased for you, beloved. You don’t deserve it, but you can claim it, because it’s GRACE.
