I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Romans 1: 16-17
In the gospel is my power. It means that I have the strength, the love, the joy, the peace, and the courage to face this day, fully equipped with the knowledge of my position in Christ. I may fail. I may make mistakes. I may fall to temptation. However, the Gospel says that I have been saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. He has finished the work. I am His righteousness.
It gets better everyday. I am still fully provided. I am confident, and I can still stand up, because I know that God’s work in me continues. From one degree to another, I become like Jesus.
