“Jesus is patient,
Jesus is kind.
Jesus does not envy,
Jesus does not boast,
Jesus is not proud.
Jesus is not rude,
Jesus is not self-seeking,
Jesus is not easily angered,
Jesus keeps no record of wrongs.
Jesus does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Jesus always protects,
Jesus always trusts,
Jesus always hopes,
Jesus always perseveres.
Jesus never fails.”—1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 (via godsradicaldaughter)
All your efforts and your works to gain the favor, blessings, and approval of God are all worthless and futile. God doesn't need those. He has opened the door to His Kingdom through Jesus Christ, and what He wants from us right now is a child who will depend on and believe in Him.
AND He has already given you His approval, blessings, and favor through Jesus Christ. Beloved, stop struggling with trying to be right in front of God, because you ARE already right in His eyes. Just rest in His love and grace, and come to Him in the name of Jesus. ♥
I might not be posting for a while, but I'll leave this with you:
God loves you UNCONDITIONALLY.
That means that He loves you, despite of the kind of words that come out of your mouth, the lust or the addictions that you are experiencing right now, the judgments and labels people throw at you. You can fall a thousand times, do a mistake over and over again, and fail at your academics many times, but God’s love and favor is still upon you. People will call you depressed, fat, ugly, pimply, stupid, gay, plastic, horrible, good for nothing, or dirty, but God will still put His arms around you. Your parents can wish that they never let you live, but God is still proud of you. You may have worked in a nightclub, or had sex secretly at a young age, or drunk beer, or taken drugs, but you’ll find yourself welcome in God’s throne. He’ll still hear your prayers.
You may have messed-up your life big time, but God loves you right this very moment, and He is passionately eager in blessing you.
You know why He has the guts do that? It’s because all the anger, all the condemnation, and all the punishment has been put on Christ. Beloved, God CRUSHED Him in your behalf. God pounded His beloved and only Son’s body just for your sake. Jesus took all that just for your sake. Just to save you.
Two thousand years ago, God saw Jesus as the prostitute, the thief, the murderer, the drug addict, the failure in school, the bully, the depressed, the disobedient, the lustful, the addict, the gay, the lesbian, and all the things you think you are today. That’s why there’s no more hate left for you. Jesus drank it all, so all that’s left for you is love.
So what do you do now? Start seeing yourself as God looks at you: innocent. You were JUSTIFIED in His sight. Come boldly in His presence, and receive and acknowledge that love. You’re still doing those things? Fine. Still go to Him. In reality, you can’t change yourself for God. Only God can do that for you and in you.
THIS Finished Work— this JESUS— is what will never leave you the same again. Don’t deprive yourself of all the goodness that He has purchased for you, beloved. You don’t deserve it, but you can claim it, because it’s GRACE.
My joy is not in what people say to me. It is not dependent on the results of my ministry, or the compliments I receive, or the grades that I have. It is not dependent on the good things or the bad things that happen to me.
My joy is in Christ Jesus, regardless of how many storms or letdowns come my way. He is my satisfaction, my motivation, and my sufficiency. I know that everyday is a good day, because my Savior died for me, and He loves me.
hi! i was wondering if you could post maybe a revelation or something like that in relation to celebrity idolisation. i know that a lot of teenage girls can become insanely obsessed with celebrities and i just want to be able to see God's take on that. do you have any scriptures? thanks! xx
Hello there, beloved.
First, let us remind ourselves that because of the Finished Work of Christ on the cross, salvation comes through faith, by grace, and not by our works. God sees us the ways He sees Christ, when we accepted Him. We live by faith, and not by sight. We are blessed not because of what we do, but because of Jesus. In the blood of Jesus, we get what we do NOT deserve, and what we did NOT earn.
I think it goes the same way for all those people who ‘idolize’ celebrities. God still loves them UNCONDITIONALLY. In Christ, God still accepts them. However, does this mean that we’re free to do what we want? NO. But I believe that nobody who has accepted the love of Christ will ever want to find satisfaction in the world. Our not being the same again comes, not by our own efforts, but by the grace and work of God.
For a person who has accepted Christ, transformation is a process. Time will come when we’ll just get tired of what this world offers. The same has gone for me. :) It didn’t come instantly, but it did come.
“But even if we speak like this, dear friends, we feel sure about you. We know that you have the better blessings that belong to your salvation. God is not unfair. He will not forget the work you did or the love you showed for Him in the help that you gave and are still giving to other Christians. Our great desire is that each of you keep up your eagerness to the end, so that the things you hope for will come true. We do not want you to be lazy, but to be like those who believe and are patient, ans so receive what God has promised.”—Hebrews 6: 9-12
Don't be discouraged by rough beginnings. Remember the One who is holding the steering wheel. He won't lead you to danger. He is leading you to greener pastures. Your Father loves you, and He won't ever leave you.
i feel so pathetic cos im fat and ugly. any advice for weight loss and feeling happier? why did God create me to be not as pretty or beautiful and smart and skinnier than my friends?
Hello beloved. I understand what you’re going through, but I’m sorry, I can’t give you any advice for weight loss. I know that it’s not nice at all to see that most girls are skinnier, or more attractive to people than you are. But you know what? IT DOES NOT MATTER.
It doesn’t matter how people look at you. It doesn’t matter who they compare you with. Ignore the standards they measure you with. You are beautiful. I don’t say this because it is what most of us people say these days. I don’t say this just to be able to sound nice. I say that you’re beautiful beloved, because I am confident that it is true. I know that you are stunning, you are special, you are not like anybody else. I feel SO confident dear that God has not made you the inferior girl that you think you are. You just don’t see all the beauty He has put in you because you’re looking in the wrong places.
You have something that I, or anyone else, can never have. God purposed you for something entirely different and special. There’s a space in this world that only you can fill. A role that only you can do.
In society’s eyes, we are all labeled by our sizes, our status, or our grades. That’s just because it’s insecure. They want to make themselves be treated special. Don’t fall in their trap, beloved. In God’s eyes, it’s different. You are just the way He wants to, but it doesn’t stop there. You are still a masterpiece in progress. God is not done yet with you, and trust Him. Place your security in Him, because He is leading you to great places, but you won’t know where you have to go, if you keep your eyes on other things.
Beloved, you are beautiful. Be confident in your Father. He loves you. That’s what’s important. People can mock you, but know that they are WRONG. God wills an awesome life for you.
You are blessed, loved, and favored! Smile, beautiful.
I woke up to the weight of the world Right back into reality And all that’s goin’ wrong Cuz in the midst of this chaotic life I try to find peace of mind But You’ve been there all along And even now I hear You whisper
Come to me when You’re weary and I’ll give you hope when you’re hurting I’ll give you rest from your burden.
